Since I can't seem to fall back asleep and I just had a really heavy breakkie, I shall blog. What about? Well I recently heard a few songs from The Temper Trap and now they're on my playlist. The band is from Melbourne, Australia. They've been active for the past 5 years or so. In May 2009 they moved to London for a bit and in November of that year they performed for ARIA Awards in Australia.

The band consists of Dougy Mandagi who does the lead vocals & guitar, Jonathon Aherne who plays bass, Lorenzo Sillitto on lead guitar, keyboard & vocals and Toby Dundas on the drums. Also touring with them is Joseph Greer who plays the guitar, keyboard & does vocals as well.

I've started a treatment of self-indulgence at Escentials Urban Retreat located on the Indulgence floor of Starhill. Or rather my mother started me off on it. I used to dread going for facials because my face was so full of blackheads and pimples that it hurt a whole lot. However, this time I'm looking forward to return for my next appointment.

I remember coming here during the older days,

every Sunday for ballet classes at Jean Gan.

As you who have visited Starhill after it's renovation would know, the complex is usually quiet with a few people walking here and there. Or none at all. I feel slightly intimidated by all the squeaky clean glass displays with brand names I have trouble pronouncing. Sometimes I never even knew such brands existed. Well, I can't quite put it in words, but take a visit down to Starhill and have a walk around. Mayyybe you'll get what I'm trying to say..?

So back to the topic! As I said, Escentials Urban Retreat is located on the Indulgence floor. Just one floor below Jogoya, if I remember correctly. It's a really good location because of the calm quiet atmosphere. The reception area itself is very open with a mix of classy couches and cute chairs.

Lovely thick carpets in pretty shades of green are laid out on the floor and interior. After confirming your appointment and assigning you a therapist, you are led inside. The rooms I go for my treatments are separated into what I think is the facial section. The walkway extends further down to a lovely red sitting room which I have yet to visit.

In every room there is a wooden door that slides back to reveal a smaller room inside, something like a walk in wardrobe. The room is not very deep but it is long enough to have a tiny seat with pillows on one end and a glass partitioned shower on the other.

Once you've changed into their prepared robe, you go out into the room and lie on the massage bed where they will begin your facial for you. My Mom says the bed is heated as well but I have yet to test that out. I fell asleep during my facial because it was that relaxing. Also, 10am is pretty early for me to be out of bed when there isn't any classes. My therapist was very gentle and soft, and during the extraction I hardly felt a thing! Very nicee (:

More comfy chairs and pouffes. They serve you tea after every facial, along with a moist towel. So while I was waiting for my Mom to finish her treatment, I snapped some random pictures of my surroundings though the pictures don't do it much justice.

This is a really nice place to go and pamper yourself. Do go and have a try! Can't wait for the next round!

Oh You Succulent Thaaang!

Succulent sounds wrong though hahaha but I had the most delicious strawberries I have ever tasted. Mom went to Imbi Market to get them. Costs RM26 per box but ohboyohyum! The berries are amazingly juicy and sweet, not to mention huge!

Been working on my text animation (and snacking a whole lot) today. With my end result, I'm not sure if it would even be counted as text animation. Because I didn't really animate the damn thing. It's my second time learning Adobe After Effects and I'd might as well utilize it to the fullest. Hope I get good results!

Kellog's Special K cereal ain't too bad either. Have you tried it?

Oh la la.

Just came back from a fun but super tiring day with Kenito. Ups and downs but laughter prevails! Watch Shrek Ever After is you haven't caught it yet. Whole cinema laughed together, they did. We came in a bit late and didn't manage to get any popcorn. So sad.

I think this will be the end of my agonies hehhh. Bought a wonderfully comfortable denim top from Lola @ Sunway Pyramid. Ate a huge dinner at Hartz. It's mainly chicken and the food was not that bad, although not great. Back aching, feet aching but still happy!

Today was a good day indeed (:

What an awesome yet obscene yet amusing display of the cyber justice system. I wouldn't mind a suit like that actually. With the glowing bits I'll be sure to attract plenty of attraction walking around the streets. Or bursting into random cyber cafes. I'm was fiddling with my blog template trying to change it up a bit. In the end I just reverted back to the old one haha.

Slug-Pig

It's been awhile since I berblogging. My life is still mundane and slighting depressing. Of course there are happy moments too; such as a small get together with my lovelies, sitting with my BabyBoris, and snuggling under my soft blue throw with a hot cup of tea. Other than that though, I'm pretty much like a slug. Plus a pig. Slug-pig.

Considering I used the laptop trackpad to draw it out.

Basically that's the gist of how I look like now. I don't know what noises a slug makes but the "bluuup" part is the cry of a slug, yeah. I've gained so much weight I feel like Jabba the Hutt with hair. Okay I'm starting to babble so I'll guess stop here.

Since Saturday it's been nothing but bad luck. I'm getting really pissed off. Lost my hard drive on Saturday and it was only during the evening that I realized it was gone. Now I have no idea where the fuck it is. I hard a hard time sleeping that night and on Sunday I had a headache throughout the day. Also there was this incident where my brother was playing his guitar and when I got near, his guitar string snapped. WTF.

And today is Kenit and my special day so I thought of having breakfast with her. I got here in time to watch her start class. OHMYGODLA. If everything I plan to do backfires on me, I'll seriously get so pissed off, I'll snap.

Penango! Part II

So I'm carrying out my plan of blogging in college. Since I am almost 3 hours early for class. It'll be a short post with lots of pictures I guess. Since I'm narrating almost everything and it's boring. Day two was good. Woke up for breakfast really early and went back to lounging in the room for awhile after. Then we changed and headed down to the pool!

After a long swim, or rather playing around with water, we took a rest and walked back up Gurney for food. It was evening and the air was cool cool cool. Stopped by Coffee Island again and this time we really parked our bums there and just sat. A lot of spacing out.

Saw a silver man!

Anywho, our plan to stay up did not work at all. Woke up early again the next day for breakkie and checked out. Took a cab to Queensbay Mall and did some shopping. Saw the toilet bowl restaurant later, should have gone in to try! Climbed into the bus at 3.30pm and headed for home.

Went home with a smile and fond memories. More pictures on Facebook! And don't forget to vote for Queenie and Sue Ann!

Penango! Part I

Aeroline.

On the 3rd of May, four crazy people met up at Aeroline's Sunway branch early in the morning to depart on the 8am bus. Queenie and Sue Ann were smart, they brought trolley bags. Kenit and I had to lug our bags and in the end I got so fed up I carried my sling-bag as a backpack. Resourceful! Hahaha

Anywho, we had a Subway sandwich which totally ruined my Subway appetite. It seemed like there was nothing but sauce inside. Well at least the 4hour and 30minute journey was comfortable. We sat at the back of the bus where the four of us could sit together. Sporadic napping sessions and walking to the lounge downstairs will be fond memories for me.

Kenit explained to me about bundle shops and now I really want to go. One day soon, Bie! Stretched our legs at a rest stop for a bit and we started walking here and there. Got honked by the bus for being late and making them wait hahahaa but it was fun. Seated ourselves downstairs for the rest of the journey, where the puffy armchairs just beckon for you to sit in them. Reached Penang about an hour and a half later!

Reached Queensbay Mall and took a bus from there to Gurney Drive, which took approximately 30 to 40 minutes. Kenit was in agony but we managed to make it to Gurney in time! But the awesome thing was we were stuck on one end of Gurney while our hotel was on the other end. Buses don't stop there apparently, so we walked for about 20 minutes to reach our hotel.

Managed it in the end haha because we're powerful! Checked-in and was too tired to do anything, so we just stayed in the room and got cleaned up. Waited for the sun to go down before walking back up Gurney to get some food. Good exercise I must say.

But due to our hunger, we forced ourselves out to trek to the hawker stalls. It didn't take as long as I thought it would. The sea breeze was blowing in and the air was much cooler than during the afternoon. Had a pretty pleasant walk.

Walked back after dinner, dropping by Gurney Plaza for a while. Kenit bought me a cute blue underwater camera! My first one, thanks babyy. We named him Ketchup and fed on gummies while the two lovely ladies did some last minute shopping hahah (:

Stopped by Coffee Island which was a really nice place to unwind and relax our feet. The music was slightly disturbing but once we got down to chatting and laughing, it didn't bother us so much. I got eaten by mosquitoes that night. I wore long pants out the next night.

Went back to our room and just relaxeddd. No agenda but to wake up early in time for breakfast the next day. Ahh, I miss it already. The relaxing, not the breakfast. Though the breakfast wasn't bad.

Wheee!

I shall continue Part II tomorrow because I'll be in Subang by 10am and my class only starts at 2.30pm. Very nice. If any of you are in Subang tomorrow morning and have nothing better to do, give me a call!

Short update! I realized I have yet to blog about my second part of the Sabah trip, but I'm going to skip it. More pictures can be viewed on Facebook if you'd like. I'm off to get a hair cut but I shall be updating on my recent trip to Penang with Susugetah, Queenie and SueAnn soon though!

College term has just started and I'm feeling much more positive now. Getting nagged a whole lot but I'll get myself together by this week. More updates soon!

Failure.

I never expected this. Not at all. Not to be cocky or overly confident, but I never thought for one second I would fail. I knew my results would be pretty painful to look at but never to the point of failing. This is a real wake up call for me. At least it's just one subject.

I really have to work hard and seriously push myself this coming semester. Thankfully I'm still allowed to take my next semester courses and not be held back. It's a real eye-opener.

Was at Canai with my secret lover, Queenie and Annie. Had a good time talking about the little things and bigger burdens as well. It really helped take my mind off my failure for awhile. It was 4am when I started to head for home. Driving along the empty streets and listening to soft jazz was lovely, so peaceful.

I wish I could keep going. I wish I didn't have to come home. I wish I could stay with my secret lover and be held to sleep tonight. I wish I could stay with my friends and talk the night away. I wish I didn't have to act so horribly towards my Mom. I wish my Dad didn't look at me and think I chose the wrong course. I wish for so many things, just like every other person wishes for their own desires.

But wishing alone doesn't help and I know it.
Boy, do I know it.

Kota Kinabalu, Day I.

So finally a proper long post with lots of pictures! Or you could assume that I have nothing better to do than blog about my recent trip to KK. A lot of people say that Kota Kinabalu is a beautiful place, and yes it is. But it really depends on what you go there for. Let's say I want to go island hopping or snorkeling, then yes this is the perfect place to go. I went for the seafood which was great! But do not go for shopping or other such things because it isn't really on, if you understand what I mean.

Anyway enough blabbing. Left the house pretty early in the morning to go to LCC Terminal. Domestic flights do not provide duty free shopping but I did not know that :(

Sempat bercamwhoring.

As the youngest person in my group, I am designated duties such as lining up and take the trolley and push the trolley. Not complaining because it was pretty fun and I learned some stuff along the way. Plus besides my parents, I traveled with three other of my Mom's friends who are so crazy and fun that it was almost like traveling with my own friends.

Boarded the plane and I sat next to the window. Felt pretty excited which was a first for me, don't remember myself being this excited when we went to New Zealand in 2002. Took lotsa pictures too.

The flight took about 2 hours give or take. Arrived at Kota Kinabalu International Airport and got a driver to take us to the hotel. I must say that KK is very clean. It's a bit like Singapore actually! Or maybe I didn't look hard enough. But the roads were wide and the sidewalks were free of rubbish.

We were staying in Novotel at 1Borneo Mall. There are three hotels all in the same mall. Sounds big but sorry to say Sunway Pyramid is much, much bigger. The shopping mall wasn't too happening either. Despite it's claim to be the biggest Hypermall in East Malaysia, the floor was uneven and cracked and there just weren't many people shopping there. But the good thing about this was if you wanted to shop, it would be like shopping at 10am in Pavilion or Pyramid when the shops just open.

I shared a room with my aunt who happens to be really related to me. Anyway, she'd just got back from London. She was supposed to be back a week ago but she got stuck there because of the volcano eruption in Iceland. Despite being there for an extra week, she managed to come along for the trip hahaha

She described how you could see people lying on the ground in Hyde Park; about Primark and Marks & Spencers; and the West End plays. She made everything sound so interesting, especially when she told me about the Tower of London tour and the beef-eater tour guides with their booming voices. I want to go there and see for myself too!

I understand now why some people want to travel around the world.

We rested for awhile before heading off to explore the mall and wait for our shuttle bus. Ended up in New York New York to grab a bite. Ordered the bloody big hamburger and I thought my heart would stop there and then. I mean, it's HUGE.

It was mostly bread but still. Six of us shared it and we still couldn't finish it. Went to have seafood for dinner after. Ordered lobster in superior sauce, Sabah veggies and some other stuff for my dad. He has an allergic reaction and can't eat prawns or lobsters. He can eat crabs though. Poor dad, had to sit there and watch us crunch and devour or lobster dinner.

It was gooood.

When dinner was done, we walked back to the shuttle bus station to wait. It wasn't there yet so one of the aunts wanted to buy a newspaper. We all ended up in a bookstore nearby. I went to thig huge Quiksilver outlet to look for my headphones, but they said they only stock it in Kuala Lumpur. Disappointed but nevertheless at least they stock it! Anyway, aunt couldn't find the newspapers so when we went back to the hotel, she and her room mate went on a newspaper hunt while the rest of us went back to our rooms.

made a hot cup of Horlicks,
read a bit and fell asleep.

We Met At The Ferris Wheel.

Babykenit and I celebrated our 22nd month together with.. steamboat! Went to BBQ Plaza, Pyramid as we hadn't eaten there for a pretty long time. I remember at one point we would go there once or twice a week. That was crazy times, kan Bie?

We went during lunch hour so the place was full. Had to wait for a table, and we ended up sitting next to the giant glass window. Not that I have anything against sitting there because usually we do sit there. It's just that sometimes people outside tend to get too interested in what you're eating and they end up standing just next to you, looking down at your food and at you. I suppose you get used to it after awhile.

Went for a bit of shopping after, ended up buying a pair of shorts for myself. I don't have that many pairs of shorts! So this was a justified purchase. Met up with Yattie and Syazie for a bit then Yattie and I tried to drop Kenit off at her house. Tried being the word of importance.

It was raining like hell. Like a rainy hell. We were stayed in Kenit's house because the rain was that bad. Strong winds blew part of Kenit's roof off and suddenly the electricity went out. Then her kitchen started leaking. And her neighbour's roof flew off.

And Lucky bit Yattie's finger.

Had a good day yesterday. Came home and got some work done, drifted off into a nice cozy sleep. Planning to go to Penang before next term starts. Hopefully things will work out! One thing for sure though;

I can't wait for Wednesday!

So I haven't been blogging for a long time. A really long time, nearly a month. Not really into blogging these days but I'm sure once my holidays start I'll be updating this thing much more frequently. That said, I am currently working on my Video & Compositing project which is due on the 21st. Along with my Advanced 3D Animation. Bloody deadlines on the same day.

Anywho, spent my birthday night with my parents at home. Felt good being with them, haven't celebrated a birthday with them in a really long time. They were pretty shocked seeing me home although I told them I'd stay home that day. The next day I had a great birthday celebration with my kengkawan yang ku cintakan. Kenit arranged for us to have dinner at Fullhouse, Pyramid. Food was not bad, drinks were interesting. Kenit and I shared a Apple Peppermint Grape Something With Balls Of Squishy Jelly Soda.

Finally, an update! Or rather; some form of an update! Lots of things to say, but I won't say it. Sometimes just knowing is more than enough.

Certain events took place that I'd rather forget about. But let me just say here that if some people are too immature to accept certain things, sorry I don't have the time to take them seriously. Don't let the humongous bubble around you make you look like a fool. On a side note, what I heard you did really made me lose most of whatever sort of respect I had for you.

Kenito really opened my eyes and stood up for me. I'm sorry for not being strong enough before but now it won't happen again. I'm not going to be too nice anymore! Went over to Kenito's to have a talk and left feeling much, much better.

It's a foolish thing to do, this waiting. I do know. I can't help it. My brain is telling me not to hope so much. Not to keep yearning for you, needing you. But somehow my heart isn't letting me go. Holding me in it's vice-like grip. The more I try to move away from it, the tighter it gets. Crushing me under all the weight. I can't cry, but I can't stop crying. I can't breathe, but I'm still alive. I'm here, but not really there.

Alright. Poor blog, abandoned for so long. There have been many things that I'd love to have blogged about. But I just didn't get around to doing so. Then before I could jot down one thing, another thing happens and so fourth. Hence, nothing. My procrastination doesn't help one bit either. Therefore I shall post something up, to make up for all the missed time. So here goes!

Chinese New Year 2010! Did you enjoy yourselves? I know I did. The first day happened to fall on the exact same date as Valentine's Day this year. So no lovey-dovey time. Just sweltering hot weather and red packets. Oh, I got a pretty good haul this year. Trying to save save save for my new phone. Not sure what phone it will be yet though.

Not all the cousins were here this year, but we still had an awesome time together. I love my cousins! But of course, the highlight of the entire celebration was baby Marcus. He's my first nephew. 7 months old with the sweetest temper a baby could have, except when he's hungry of course. He's gone to Japan to visit his grandparents now. We all miss him!

As all you Cinapeks know, we always take turns visiting each other from oldest in the family to the youngest. So it was our turn to be visited on the second day. The whole clan came for dinner and I was super busy running errands for Mom. It all paid off though! (:

Miss Hanie came too! All of us ate and exploded and ate again. I used a new roll of film with Elise, my Golden Half. Took lots of pictures and I can't wait to get it developed! Anyway, the New Year was really great. Went to TK's and Alex's. And Chee Weng's too! There are more pictures on Facebook, not going to make this a super heavy post.

Item No. 1 : Wonka Shockers
Make a lemon face! This candy is pretty sour at first, but after a few seconds it becomes sweet. It's a chewy candy too, which makes it more enjoyable. But I'd have liked it better if the consistency was more like Mentos. My mouth is starting to water at the thought of the sourness, so on to the next one!

Item No. 2 : Pixy Stix
I tried my first Pixy Stix today. Since it was orange flavored, it tasted pretty much like Vitamin C. Basically it's just a packet of powdered sugar. Pixy Stix aren't too bad, but I'm predicting the most I can eat at a time would be one packet.

Item No. 3 : Wonka Nerds
Who doesn't love these? I wanted to buy a big packet, but I didn't. I should have though. These little candies are good! Kenit and I had Apple & Watermelon, which is a little sour when you first pop them into your mouth. There is even a special Valentine flavor, Strawberry & Punch. Must buys!

Item No. 4 : The Original Smarties Candy Necklace
Unfortunately I couldn't get a taste of these. Will try to wrangle some tomorrow! Not that I'll be editing this post :p

So that's that. Been having a craving for chocolate recently, and that's probably the cause of my weighing scale needle going up. But you must agree with me; chocolate is love!

Pan Mee there was not too bad, though Kenit's secret spot is better heheh
It was a nice place, like any other noisy and packed night market.
Encountered a spot of worry too, during our search for parking.
But it was a fun night, no?

We went for a late night adventure yesterday. Looking for places to have a drink, and Kenit saw the shop! She took me there, I feel special! Bought a pandan swiss roll which was nice to poke, but not really amazing as a late night snack. Guzzled a bowl of lime jelly! AWESOME.

After supper, we hopped over to this cute little shop which sells lots of stuff. Kenit turned into my cute little tour guide and we browsed both floors. That was when I saw the hat.

How I wish.

But no, it takes a lot of hard work and effort to achieve a level where you aren't bothered by much. I'm always bothered recently. It's getting too much, too heavy. Sometimes I feel okay, a calmness that doesn't last very long. Very much like getting up on a rainy morning and all you want to do is snuggle back down in bed. But you know you can't because you have classes and your parents didn't save money so you could skip them now, could you?

So despite having this mindset for almost everything recently, I guess my problems are trivial compared to the Haiti earthquake, or world hunger. I feel selfish, yet I go on to complain. Hmph, such a hypocrite I am.

I better not start dreading because it won't be good for my mental stability. Not that it is stable. At this point of time, allow me to state that I wouldn't mind being a dancing giraffe.

Decided to update my bloggo with a proper post. It's a while, and a hellish few days. Seriously. I don't really know what going on anymore, people. Life can really throw curve-balls at you, only to have them go straight. My fuse is wondrously short recently, and little things can trigger off a much bigger reaction. But despite all that personal complaints, I guess everything has been pretty much the same.

This semester is loaded with tonnes of group work. Guess it's a good thing, learning to work with people. There's some stuff I'd like to say about it, but I'll save it for another day.

I also got myself a new bag! It's like my own personal tiny briefcase. Kenit helped me pick it out, thank you! I know I said I've to start saving money. But that was after I splurged on OPI Nail Colors and two new tops. So yes, I shall not use anymore until after Chinese New Year!

Anywho, Momma went off to Hanoi on Monday and she's coming home tomorrow! I miss her a lot. Can't wait to see her! I shall start helping her out more with the laundry and cooking when she gets back. Didn't cook much though while she was away. Made pasta one night and that was about it. Cup noodles for supper.

Past few days of readjusting to college life. Still not that used to early hours, it's hard to sleep at night. Classes are good, lectures/lecturers are interesting. All in all, I'm doing okay. Grounded for the rest of the week because I went out on Sunday night. Struck a deal with the Momma and thus my current state.

Random thought : It hurts at first, but in time we get used to everything.

Am going through a nail painting phase now. Blood red is the color of the moment. Decidedly, my life now feels as though it revolves around the superficial. Having said that I feel a bit more matured compared to last year. Little stupid things don't bring me down, I'm much more myself now then trying to be someone I'm not.

Happiness is always there, we just need to know where to look :)

January 2009

Went to Port Dickson early in the month with the family. Four of us staying at my aunt's apartment. Everything was so pristine and white, I was afraid to sit on the sofa for quite a long time. Watched Milk for the first time and loved it. Had seafood next to the waves, had a bit of bonding time with the brother. It was a lot of fun.

February 2009

BabyMunchkin created my DeviantArt account for me, since I had so much trouble doing so. Celebrated Valentines Day at Pyramid after doing some work in the 2D Animation Lab. Lost my drawing board in college, but got it back eventually. Bought my Wacom :)

March 2009

Did my first stencil ever, inspired by Kenit. Colored my poor hair again, it became a sort of purple brown tinged shade, which eventually became lighter and slightly more natural looking. Earth Hour was up and everyone was talking about it. Something occurred that messed me up for awhile. Thanks to my BabyMunchy, I got over it in time.

April 2009

Had a great birthday in BubbaGump's at Pyramid. It was the first time I stood on a chair in wedges. Went to Ikea with Kenit for the first time too! Had a blast, I can't stop smiling when I think back to that day. Took a trip up to Genting Highlands for 3 days with just Kenit. Cold weather and lots of food, loved every moment of it.

May 2009

Got my hair trimmed short again, with a proper fringe. Got a lump under my eye removed. Blogged a lot of junk from different online sites which I found interesting haha. Found my Dad's old Yashica which I think can still be saved, though I haven't gotten around to send it for repairs.

June 2009

Kenit won the pair of Freestyle Hightop Reebok shoes from KLUE and bestowed it upon me. I love them yellow babies! Got my first stick-on tattoo after a really long time. Reformatted the computer outside, had gastric. But the most important of all; we hit one year.

July 2009

Had a field trip to Malacca for Digital Photography class with David. Had a little accident with the poor Waja, but stupid man insisted it wasn't his fault. There were witnesses dude! Anyway, attended Urbanscapes 2009. Yasmin Ahmad passes away on the 26th.

August 2009

Fell slightly ill but was immediately taken to the doctor because of the whole H1N1 threat going on. Met up with Shibidibidoo and SammyWammy for the first time in a very long time. Planned to eat Queso with them at Chili's but plan failed. Bought and received my Golden Half, Chelsea Maika Edition. Totally crazy last minute plan and we went up to Genting to shisha.

September 2009

Attended Malam Tumpang Glamour at Inked. Discovered a giant KK Kopitiam in Wangsa Maju. Developed my first roll of film shot with the Golden Half. Got really terrible gastric pains, couldn't get out of bed. Signed up for Twitter. Slow-danced with Kenit for the first time, I even wrote a poem about it!

October 2009

Discovered liquid eye liner, but being the noob I am, I still don't know how to use it to this day. Got Anna Molly from Pyramid! We thought she was just a cute little fatty fish, but she was actually pregnant. Read a super inspirational quote from Bob Marley which truly opened my eyes. Celebrated a second birthday with BabyMunchy.

November 2009

Anna Molly gave birth! Unfortunately, none of the babies survived. Managed to keep one alive for a pretty long time, but one morning as I opened the lid to feed it, I found the poor little thing dead. Felt down for quite a long while. On a happier note, I got Elmo, a red HOLGA 135BC. Received my lovely lace shoes too!

December 2009

Went to Singapore to check out potential universities, but succumbed to the temptation that is Orchard Road. Cousin got married too, finally. His bride had the most funky head-dress and bouquet I've seen, really cute!

Moved my blog here during the middle of the month. Went to Cameron Highlands with friends and had amazingly crazy experiences. Had Christmas Eve dinner at Chee Weng's place, small little party but wonderful company. Christmas dinner itself was at my aunt's house. Spent New Year's Eve at a family friends place, had a blast. Tasted my own bile for the first time too hahaha.

Reminiscing is fun, but time waits for no man.

Sid & Nancy

Have you heard of their story?

It's pretty famous. Both so in love with each other. One morning on the 12th of October 1978, Sid Vicious, bassist of the Sex Pistols, woke up from his drug induced stupor to find his girlfriend Nancy Spugen dead in the bathroom of their hotel room. She bled to death from a single stab wound on her abdomen.

Many different versions of how she was killed came up, including a confession from Sid himself. He was put in jail for a time and later released on bail. Ten days after her death, he attempted suicide by cutting his wrists and was hospitalized at Bellevue Hospital.

On the 1st of February 1979, a small gathering was held in his new girlfriends home to celebrate him having made bail. Sid was clean due to his stay at the hospital. However, his mother had ordered drugs to be delivered to the party against the wishes of Sid's girlfriend. Sid overdosed later, but family and friends got him up and walked him around to revive him.

The couple went to bed but Sid never woke up. On the 22nd of October, ten days after his funeral, Sid's mother discovered a suicide note in the pocket of his jacket. It read;

We made a death pact, and I have to accomplish my part of

the deal. Please bury me next to my baby. Please bury me

with my leather jacket, my jeans and my biker boots.

Since I have nothing better to do and college starts tomorrow, I shall update this blog with some randomness that you will have no memory of recalling because I said so.

Let's talk about Fullhouse! It's located in Pyramid, opposite Pappa Rich and next to Sake Sushi. Afromelia and I went there to check out the place. It just opened a couple of weeks ago. Really pretty, nice place to go for a meal and chat. There's a little shop beside the eatery where you can purchase some trinkets. I am absolutely in love with the travel cases. Very cute!

The food is quite tasty. Pretty affordable too, especially the sets. Comes with a soup, main, dessert and drink for around MYR20. It's filling! Sigh, I'm going there again sometime soon. Ladies, shall we adjourn to this white cornucopia of fake grass and intricate wood work for some tea?

Went to The Daily Grind @ Bangsar Village with Sam, Chee Weng, Shibi and Jo for some dinner. Like Sam said, the food wasn't that spectacular. Chili's Skillet Queso still has my vote! After we barely managed to finish our dinner, some wonderful girl ordered their signature Red Velvet Cake so we could all try.

It's the first time I've tried it.

We had to play a game so we could fool ourselves into finishing it. It was pretty good though. I must start looking out for it at bakeries. Our maybe try to make some myself? ;)

Class starts tomorrow and I have no clue what to bring. There's always a little bit of nervousness in me when a new semester begins. I'm not sure why, but I don't think I'll be getting much sleep tonight.

Mmm!

I guess the debate about Blackberry phones and iPhone's is still ongoing. I heard that Blackberry to Blackberry texting or messaging (I'm not sure which) is free. Is this true? I need to educate myself more on Blackberry's. They seem like a better investment than an iPhone.

But having said that, iPhone's seem to have more apps. I used to really want an iPhone, almost everyone did at one point. And Blackberry's are much more suitable for business use. However..

The main thing is my phone needs to be changed.

Went to watch Sherlock Holmes at KLCC last night with the family. It's been so long since all four of us have been out together, and it feels pretty darn good. I was tired and lazy so I threw on the same shirt I'd been wearing that afternoon. And then I decided to go lapsap style!

Okay, maybe not super lapsap. If I were to try super lapsap, I think I could have done better. I was dressed like a banana in plaid tights. I still love my yellow shoes ♥

My appetite has been growing like a small boy reaching puberty. I can devour more food then Kenit now. We had a lunch at Zen in Pyramid. Food was good, but I prefer Sushi King's Saba Udon hehe. Did some 2D work in the lab with Rachel and Celestte, but I really need to start pushing myself harder. I've been on break too long, getting lazier!

Results came out today too. Not that disappointed because I think I slacked a lot last semester. Let's just say they're all the same alphabet.

Poor baby.

Was brushing his back like usual when I came across this lump that's been there for quite some time. At first I thought it was a scab because whenever we tried to pull it off, it seemed to hurt him a bit. So the other day I decided to yank it off, or the hair will start matting around it. Took a tissue and pinched.

Voila! One fat ugly tick. Got the shock of my life, so I started searching all over his coat. Found three more and disposed of them. I'm so sorry baby! Should have pulled them off earlier, then you'd feel better. Mom's gonna get the tick medicine for him, but once applied I won't be able to touch him for a whole day. Noo! My little sheep.

I don't want to grow up. I don't want to be an adult, burdened by millions of responsibilities and endless problems. But trying to avoid the inevitable is.. Inevitable. It is selfish of me to wish for such a thing. Stand up and take action.

Sitting here listening to these voices, I feel worried. I know that things will only worsen if I continue this lifestyle of mine. I need to change. I will work harder, much much harder. Strive to be an achiever. I want to be successful. I want to help my family.

Lovely Christmas Eve dinner at cwlor.com's house. Good food, great company. Lovers! I did have a slight moment of worry for my Triple Berry Cheesecake, but other than that it was all good. I'm getting in trouble by playing Cafe World. Anyway.

Had a family gathering for Christmas Day itself. Dinner again!

Turkey, ham, pasta.. a ton of goodies to enjoy. Stuffed myself silly, went over to get some Vodka-fuel. Had delicious baked cheesecake, cracked nuts for aunts and had fun doing so. Cousin came over with lotsa Heineken, but I totally forgot about it! So wasted. I love my big red wrestling belt. And my soft grey floral skirt. I played poker with my cousins. We used nuts as poker chips. I lost all my almonds and walnuts, but the pecans and hazelnuts were mineee.

Brought home some awesome Pavlova and a present from my aunt.

I want!

I'm don't usually feel any different on Christmas. Today I spent the whole morning in bed, ate some food, went back to bed. I'm still in bed by the way. I feel so unmotivated. Despite all this gloom and laziness, I do wish to spend this Eve properly.

After all, Christmas Eve of 2009 only happens once in a lifetime. Once past, we can never go back and say I wish I spent it differently. Hopefully whatever happens tonight, everyone including myself, will have a great memorable celebration.

Thanks a lot to Andy Chan, also known as Lin Zhi Leong or something along those lines, for driving all of us up there. Although there were times when my heart nearly stopped, and not just because of the driving, making new friends and gobbling down lots of fried food made it all better. I had a really great time.

Maybe more updates soon when I'm not so tired and when I finally get some pictures? ;)

But before anything else, I'm going to hit the hay! Phwoarrr.

Time to recharge my wallet for a good ol' shopping trip.

Chocolate cake base and a warm dark chocolate sauce to be

Yesterday reminded me of many, many things I have missed. It was like a door from past years being opened again, only this time in parts. Like the chapters of a book. It was surprising, invigorating, fun and crazily unexpected. I miss it very much.

Will be off to Cameron Highlands tomorrow. Expecting the weather there to be really cold due to the rainy days we've been experiencing. Excited sesangat! Maybe I should bake some provisions to bring along? ;)
